1st Grade Virtual Secret Reader Fridays

Dear 1st Grade Parent/Guardian,

On Fridays, during the month of January and the 1st week of February, families are invited to volunteer for our Secret Reader Fridays. The Secret Reader Fridays will take place virtually on Zoom during 1st period for about 15 to 20 minutes. Log in information will be sent out after you sign up. We have two time slots available for families to sign up, 8:20 to 8:40 a.m. and 8:45 to 9:05 a.m. We are holding this event virtually so it is open to all our families.

To the right of this invite, you will see an option to select a date. Select the date and time you are able to volunteer, press register, select your child's class and then fill out the form. If the date you selected is unavailable (Sold Out), you can select a different date from the main invite page. Once completed, you will get a confirmation from Eventbrite with the day and time you chose as well as a reminder the day before you are scheduled to read. We are asking families to please only pick one day and time. The Zoom link will be sent out only to the family that volunteered to read that day and time.

If you would like to participate but are unsure of what book to read, your child’s teacher will be happy to make suggestions. Please note that religious stories are not permitted. We hope you will join us and support your child’s love of reading!
